Configuration
=============

Step-by-step instruction to configure Slixfeed for the first use::

   slixfeed-setup

.. note::
   if you cant find ``slixfeed-setup`` make sure you are in the ``((.venv))``.
   ``source .venv/bin/activate``



You will be presented by a **greeter**:

   Slixfeed setup

   Slixfeed is a news service which is primarily
   designed for the XMPP telecommunication network.
   
   Slixfeed supports various of means and protocols.
   
   ActivityPub, DeltaChat, Email, Gemini, IRC, Nostr,
   OStatus, SIP, XMPP
   
   Proceed.


Press :kbd:`Enter` to proceed or :kbd:`Ctrl` + :kbd:`C` to abort

Slixfeed will automatically create some folders in ``~/.local/share/`` and ``~/.config/``::

  4. Delete from blacklist

  Select an action: 

Choose :kbd:`1` **Add Whitelist**::
 
| Add all the addresses Slixfeed should serve and deliver news to.
| e.g. xmpp address or deltachat email


When finished::
